Knowledge Web¶

A Knowledge Web is an organizational model for information management that prioritizes the connection of discrete units of information over hierarchical storage. It is primarily realized through systems like Zettelkasten or tools like [[Obsidian]] using MOCs (Maps of Content).^[600-developer__tools__obsidian__000-MOC-obsidian.md]

Core Concept¶

The central tenet of a Knowledge Web is to layer notes and connect them through "hyperlinks" to form a mesh of information.^[600-developer__tools__obsidian__000-MOC-obsidian.md] This structure treats individual notes as nodes in a network, where value is derived from the associations between them rather than their placement in a rigid folder tree.

Implementation¶

This structure allows for the creation of thematic maps, such as an "Obsidian Knowledge Web Map" (obsidian-知識網地圖), which links related topics like data classification, plugins, and personal learning logs (e.g., "Learning-Johnny").^[600-developer__tools__obsidian__000-MOC-obsidian.md]
