Multi-selection text capture workflow¶
The Multi-selection text capture workflow is a browser-based method for sequentially accumulating and collecting highlighted text segments, designed to streamline the transfer of web content into note-taking applications like [[Obsidian]].^[600-developer__tools__chrome__Roam-Highlighter.md]
Procedure¶
The workflow utilizes the Roam-Highlighter extension to manage text capture, relying on keyboard shortcuts to handle multiple selections before pasting them into the destination document.^[600-developer__tools__chrome__Roam-Highlighter.md]
- Activate Tool: Initiate the Roam-Highlighter mode by pressing Alt+X.^[600-developer__tools__chrome__Roam-Highlighter.md]
- Capture Segments: Select the desired text on the webpage. Press Ctrl+X to cut and store the selection.^[600-developer__tools__chrome__Roam-Highlighter.md]
